About the Company
Sariego Theatre is an international performing arts company based in London, Madrid, and Buenos Aires, recognized for its bold, physical, and visually striking approach to contemporary multilingual theatre. Originally founded in 2010 by its artistic director Ana Mirtha Sariego under the name Knuk Theatre, the company has since evolved into a vibrant ensemble committed to innovative and socially conscious performance.
Under the artistic vision of Ana Mirtha Sariego and the creative drive of founding member Sebastián Rad, the company has developed a distinctive theatrical language that fuses physical theatre, clowning, dance, mask work, puppetry, and object manipulation. Their performances deliver powerful visual and emotional experiences while exploring universal themes such as identity, love, loss, and belonging.
Having toured in over 15 countries, Sariego Theatre has built bridges between cultures and audiences worldwide, using art as an alchemical tool for social transformation.
As an international company, it believes in the power of theatre to heal, raise questions, foster human connection, and inspire the evolution of collective consciousness. Each creation is conceived as a scenic ritual, where art transcends entertainment to become a space for encounter, reflection, and healing.
The company maintains an active collaborative network with performers and creators from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds.
Collaborators include:
Jorge Velasco (Spain), Nicolás Greco (Argentina), Alex Cueva (Spain), Ryan Murphy (UK), Carlos Cegarra (Spain), Jed Hancock-Brainerd (USA), Rahul T. Thomas (India), Rebecca Noon (USA), Randy Gingsburg (USA), Ross Flight (UK), and Jordi Rovira (Spain).
